Founder’s Club brokers get more from WellSense

The Founder’s Club is a commitment from WellSense to help brokers, like you, to grow their Medicare Advantage book of business and earn extra rewards for selling more WellSense Medicare Advantage policies. You just have to be licensed to sell health insurance in the state of New Hampshire and certified and appointed with WellSense.

Earn more compensation now and keep earning throughout the year

You control how much reimbursement you earn each year. Sell as many Medicare Advantage policies as you can, and you’ll be eligible to earn reimbursements and annual rewards. 

Milestone status

Earn milestone status throughout the Annual Enrollment Period (October 15 to December 7, 2023). Based on the number of policies you sell, earn reimbursement for expenses like marketing, sales meetings costs, AHIP, continuing education and more.

Elite status

Earn elite status once you sell more than 20 policies throughout the year. Overall top-producing agents who sell the most policies will earn extra money, which will be awarded annually.

Get extra reimbursement just for selling WellSense Medicare Advantage policies

The WellSense Medicare Advantage Founder’s Club is made up of the first 100 brokers appointed and certified with WellSense to sell our Medicare Advantage plans in the New Hampshire market.

Club members are eligible to receive extra compensation each year as well as additional perks for as long as they are certified with WellSense. Extra compensation opportunities include:

  • $100 for each completed health risk assessment (HRA)
  • Up to $350 for AHIP reimbursement
  • Up to $300 for mileage reimbursement
  • Up to $150 in reimbursement for sales meetings costs
  • Up to $50 in reimbursement for continuing education courses

Extra Compensation Details

Any extra compensation earned according to the outline above will be included in each Club member’s regular monthly commission check along with an itemized description of all earnings. Payments will begin in January 2023, with payments generally being made between the 15th and 20th of each month. Any targets for extra compensation met previous to January 1 will be included in the January payment.

To qualify for any of these extra compensation opportunities:

  • Brokers must be appointed and in good standing.
  • Sales must be for 2023 plan year products.
  • The members counted towards sales targets must effectuate.
  • Additional conditions or exceptions may apply to specific opportunities, as outlined below:
HRA Compensation
  • Brokers will receive $100 for each new member sale for completing an initial HRA within 30 calendar days of the application date.
  • All sales for 2023 plan year products qualify for HRA compensation regardless of whether they are made during the 2022 AEP period or during the 2023 calendar year.
  • The HRA questionnaire must be completed in full either directly in the WellSense agent portal (Broker360) or downloaded from the portal and emailed to AgentAdmin@bmchp-wellsense.org.
  • Brokers must complete the HRA themselves. A proxy is not permitted.

2022 AHIP Reimbursement

Brokers who achieve five sales* within the first 60 days of appointment will receive a $175 reimbursement in their commissions check.

*Sales for either our 2022 plan year product or our 2023 plan year products both qualify towards this sales target.


2023 AHIP Reimbursement
Brokers who achieve 10 sales during the 2023 plan year’s AEP will qualify for AHIP reimbursement following the completion of their 2024 AHIP.

Mileage Reimbursement

  • Brokers who achieve 10 sales by January 1, 2023 will qualify for mileage reimbursement of up to $200.
  • Brokers who achieve 20 sales by January 1, 2023 will qualify for mileage reimbursement of up to $300
  • Mileage is reimbursed at $0.625 per mile.
  • A mileage reporting form is available at the WellSense agent portal (Broker360).
  • Completed forms can be emailed to FoundersClub@wellsense.org.

Sales Meeting Cost Reimbursement
  • Brokers who achieve 10 sales during calendar year 2023 will qualify for reimbursement of up to $150 for costs incurred for sales meetings.
  • Qualifying expenses include renting a meeting space, snacks and beverages, give away items and/or raffle gifts for sales meetings.
  • To receive reimbursement, simply email copies of receipts for qualifying expenses to FoundersClub@wellsense.org.

Continuing Education Reimbursement
  • Brokers who achieve 10 sales during calendar year 2023 will qualify for reimbursement of up to $50 for costs incurred to complete continuing education.
  • To receive reimbursement, simply email copies of receipts for qualifying expenses to FoundersClub@wellsense.org.


 

  • Brokers will receive $100 for each new member enrolling in a WellSense Signature or Choice Medicare Advantage plan if they complete an initial HRA for that member within 30 calendar days of the application date.
  • All sales for these 2023 plan year products qualify for HRA compensation regardless of whether they are made during the 2022 AEP period or during the 2023 calendar year.
  • The HRA questionnaire must be completed in full either directly in the WellSense agent portal (Broker360) for electronic application or downloaded from the portal and emailed to AgentAdmin@wellsense.org for paper applications (Full instructions are available at Broker360).
  • Brokers must complete the HRA themselves. A proxy is not permitted.
  • Sales of the WellSense Added Value plan do not qualify for this program.
  • Any HRA compensation awarded for members who fail to maintain their enrollment for a minimum of three months will be refunded to WellSense.

  • Brokers who achieve five sales* within the first 60 days of appointment will receive a $175 reimbursement for AHIP certifications completed in calendar year 2022 in their next commissions check.
  • As WellSense already receives AHIP certifications, this compensation will automatically be included in commission checks once qualifications are met without the need to submit further documentation.

    *Sales for either our 2022 plan year product or our 2023 plan year products both qualify towards this sales target.

  • Brokers who achieve 10 sales during the 2023 plan year’s AEP will qualify for a $175 reimbursement for AHIP certifications completed in calendar year 2023.
  • Once WellSense has received confirmation for an AHIP certification in 2023, this reimbursement will be included in their next commissions check.
  • As WellSense already receives AHIP certifications, this compensation will be performed automatically without the need to submit further documentation.

  • Brokers who achieve 10 sales by January 1, 2023 will qualify for mileage reimbursement of up to $200.
  • Brokers who achieve 20 sales by January 1, 2023 will qualify for mileage reimbursement of up to $300
  • Mileage is reimbursed at $0.625 per mile.
  • A comprehensive expense reporting form is available at the WellSense agent portal (Broker360).
  • Completed forms can be emailed to FoundersClub@wellsense.org.

Club members receive exclusive marketing support covering digital channels, social media and other avenues as part of their partnership with WellSense.

Field Marketing Organization (FMO) Profile Pages
FMOs working with WellSense will receive a dedicated, co-branded landing page that explains the benefits of working with an agent when shopping for a Medicare Advantage plan and provides a directory of the name, location and contact information of any Club members working with the FMO, creating member self-referrals for Club members out of WellSense’s independent marketing efforts.

Special Events
Club members are invited to exclusive events, such as a post-AEP celebration, mixers and other events that celebrate the wins and keep WellSense connected to Club members and their interests.
