How we use cookies, pixels and other tracking technologies

Our website uses cookies, tracking pixels and related technologies that are set by WellSense or by third-party products and services contracted by WellSense (“Service Providers”) to provide this website to you and to track user activity. Tracking technologies may also be used by those Service Providers to deliver targeted advertisements to you.

The information collected through tracking technologies is stored and retrievable either for the duration of the website visit (known as “session cookies”), or until they are deleted or are set to expire (known as “persistent cookies”). Cookies are small text files that may be placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. You may disable cookies and tracking technologies by adjusting your browser preferences at any time; however, this may limit your ability to take advantage of all the features on our website.

WellSense Service Providers may include Google, Meta (Facebook & Instagram), Amazon, and others who help us track and analyze our website user activity, measure the effectiveness of our advertising efforts, and support the optimization of our digital campaigns.

We allow Service Providers to use tracking technologies to collect activity information and to track browsing activity over time and across third-party websites. This collection may provide WellSense with information such as which web browsers are used to access our website and which websites are referring traffic or linking to our website.

Examples of information we and our Service Providers collect using tracking technologies may also include how often someone visits our website and what they do while on our website. We and our Service Providers use this information in the aggregate to understand how our visitors as a group use different resources and to help us improve our website. We and our Service Providers also collect information about the activity of individual website users. This information may be used to direct related WellSense advertising campaigns and/or informational content to website users when they visit other websites.

Our Service Providers may acquire additional information about your activity on our website, including pages you visit, access times, visit duration, how you arrived at our website and your IP address. An IP address is a number that identifies a device connected to the internet. For most devices, the IP address changes. Our Service Providers may also acquire device identifiers and specific information about the browser you use. In some cases, this information may be unique to you.

We also use web analytics and tag management services and tools provided by Google and other Service Providers to collect certain information relating to your use of our website. You can find out more about how Google uses data when you visit our website by visiting How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps.

Additionally, our website uses pixels which are HTML code snippets that are loaded when a user visits a website or opens an email. It is used for tracking user behavior and activity.

For example, WellSense may deploy the Meta Pixel on our website. The Meta Pixel may enable Meta to match website visitors with their Meta User Accounts. You can find out more about how Meta collects and uses data by clicking here.
