Tax and Food Stamp Assistance
Get Free Tax and Food Stamp Assistance This Spring
We are working with the Granite United Way to sponsor their state-wide virtual Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. If you have a household income of less than $53,000, the VITA program can help you prepare your federal income tax return for free.
If you can’t travel to a VITA location in person, use their virtual sites to connect with volunteers who will help file your tax returns. To find a virtual or in-person VITA location near you, just dial 2-1-1 from anywhere in New Hampshire, or visit 211nh.org.
As a Well Sense member, you can apply for food stamps at nheasy.nh.gov. Anyone who qualifies for food stamps will receive them, no matter if they are on welfare, have children, or are homeless.
Call the New Hampshire Food Bank at 603-669-9725 or visit nhfoodbank.org for free help applying. They have staff who can help you with the application, even if you don't have access to a computer.
